You are what you think. You’ve probably heard this many times, and I truly believe in my heart that it is very true. Your thoughts have a major impact on how you view the world, but also how the world responds to you. I learned about this many years ago, and ever since I made it a point to be aware of my thoughts and emotions. Positive affirmations have become a big part of my life. I first heard about how to do affirmations years ago when I was going through a tough breakup, and I was trying to find myself again. At the time I was focusing on practicing self-love affirmations and saw the amazing effects on what they had done for my self-esteem and self-worth, soon I started using affirmations for all kinds of stuff in my life, and things started to look up.

 Why are positive affirmations so powerful, you may ask? Because if you can see it in your mind, if you truly make yourself believe it, it will come true. The more you tell yourself something about yourself the more you will trick your brain to believe it to be true. If you continue to tell yourself that you’re not worthy of good things, that you’re dumb, or not successful, no matter how successful, smart, or worthy you are your brain will believe it to be true. But if you say kind things about yourself, and good thoughts you won’t only feel better but you will also attract those things into your life.
