10 Books You Must Read in the New Year for Personal Growth

2020 definitely had its ups and downs and my anxiety levels have been going through the roof. It was a good year for me and my family, but when I looked at the news and world events my anxiety went through the roof. At one point I had to completely disconnect from social media for a while because I could hardly sleep and eat. I knew this wasn’t healthy, so I decided to take the time to focus on me and my self-development. Books seemed like the best option to disconnect and it’s been truly helpful. Since I’ve seen how powerful it is to disconnect from the internet and to focus on my self-development, I’ve decided to start out the new year in the same way. My goal is to make this new year a time for me to grow mentally, spiritually, financially, and physically. The main focus will be on my overall wellbeing. So, I’ve decided to make a list of books that I would like to read for the new year, to start focusing on my health and growth. I’m sharing these books with you today because I feel that they might help you too.

I’ve already read this book and absolutely loved it, and even though I’ve finished it it’s a book that I will continue to refer back to on my journey of selfcare and self-development. Each chapter in the book is only a page long, and they can be read in any order and read like a journal entry. Each story offers mindfulness enhancing techniques that anyone can easily add to their day to lives. Timber writes in a relatable and conversational way that keeps you glued to the pages. I immediately felt inspired and happy reading this book and will continue to refer to it throughout my life.

This book has been on my reading list for years. I somehow never got to reading it, but I believe everything has its divine timing and maybe now is the time that I need to connect with these empowering stories in this book.

Guys, I’ve been so excited to get my hands on this book and it’s finally out on the shelves. I’ve been following vegan chef and blogger Earthy Andy for years now, and have enjoyed all of her easy fresh, and healthy vegan recipes. So, when I found out that she was working on a book I couldn’t contain my excitement. This book is perfect for my family since we eat mainly vegetarian meals but are looking into more healthy vegan options. Even if you’re not vegan, the recipes in this book are perfect for all who want to eat a more wholesome plant-based diet.

 This book has been in my Amazon cart for a while now. I’m not really sure why I haven’t gotten it yet, but it could be that I just wasn’t ready for it yet. In the Sacred Woman, the reader will learn to find their mission and mantle as Sacred-Women to heal ourselves. This healing will be done by healthy eating, meditation, and affirmations.

I love drinking herbal teas. Especially chamomile and lavender tea for stress and headache relief. I always feel instantly at peace after drinking a warm cup of tea. After much research Green Witch kept coming up as the go-to book, so now it’s sitting on my shelf ready for me to read. My goal is to start growing my own herbs and spices, so this book will most definitely come in handy.
