Feeling Beach Boho Vibes in My PinkBlush Maternity Dress
By: Dominica Morris
Shopping for comfortable and stylish maternity clothing while pregnant is a chore, especially if you’re still small. For the first 3 months of this pregnancy I had no problems still fitting in my regular wardrobe, but once I reached the second trimester I was ready to wear outfits that weren’t so snug. Yes, my old clothes still fit but between a growing belly, expanding hips, and bloating I just wanted to be comfortable. So I started to look everywhere for comfortable yet stylish maternity clothes. I seriously looked everywhere from big box stores, to maternity focused shops, to thrift stores, and boy I was so not prepared to be so disappointed. For one all of the maternity sections in stores were tiny, and offered very little selection. Then there was the problem of finding anything in an XS. The third problem I encountered was that if I did find maternity clothes in my size they were outrageously expensive. So I decided to give up and kept my work wardrobe to a limited 2 pairs of pants and a couple of tops and cardigans. Boring, I know… Until I was approached by PinkBlush.
This dress is perfect for maternity shoots.
PinkBlush gifted me this beautiful deep burgundy lace mesh overlay maxi maternity dress. It is absolutely beautiful and features a beautiful scalloped trim with semi sheer short bell sleeves. The lace showcases a beautifully embroidered flower design from top to bottom. I get total boho vibes when I wear this and love how it fits and flows when I walk.
Anybody that knows my fashion style knows that I’m sucker for a lace back or open back, and this maternity dress definitely has it. The embroidered flowers and design immediately sold me on this maxi.
While this maternity gown isn’t fitted and is super flowy, it still shows off my small 5 month baby bump perfectly. I decided to wear this dress for a day out and about on Fort Lauderdale beach. I felt so pretty wearing it and immediately wanted to take a ton of pictures. I definitely can see this being the perfect dress for a maternity shoot.
